Love this! I also enjoy writing romance but don’t have a ton of dating experience to pull from. I am married and in a healthy relationship now, but like you, I didn’t date a lot in high school or my early 20s. Even now, I’d argue that my real-life relationship doesn’t provide a ton of inspiration for my writing. Because real healthy relationships aren’t very dramatic like they are in movies. So my fictional romances are still very much based on dreams or what I’ve seen in other books and movies.
